Terms, Privacy & Refunds
The short version: you design your own card, so check it carefully before you buy — what you see is what we print. Print files are delivered instantly and aren't refundable once delivered. Printed cards that arrive damaged or don't match your file are reprinted or refunded. Your photos stay in your browser unless you use an AI render or buy your card. We never sell your information.
Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Threadz Brands, LLC, an Illinois company doing business as HeroCards.net ("HeroCards.net", "we", "us"). They cover your use of herocards.net, its card designer, AI rendering, print-file downloads and printing (the "Service"). By using the Service or buying anything on it, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
HeroCards.net lets you design an 8.5" × 5.5" hero card (autograph card) from your own photos, logos and details, optionally with AI-generated artwork, and then buy the print-ready files or have us print and ship the cards. Professionally designed hero cards are a separate service offered by our sister brand RaceThreadz at racethreadz.com.
2. Your content
You are responsible for everything you upload or type into the Service — car and driver photos, team and sponsor logos, names, numbers, stats and other text ("Your Content"). You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to use it on a hero card, including permission from sponsors to use their logos and from anyone pictured. Don't upload anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us permission to store, process, resize, send to our service providers (including our AI provider when you request an AI render) and print Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
3. AI-generated artwork
AI renders are created automatically by a third-party artificial-intelligence service from your photos and choices. Results vary, may not reproduce every decal, number or detail of your car exactly, and the same request can produce different results. Review the artwork in the preview before you buy. Names, numbers and sponsor logos are placed on the card by our designer from what you enter, not drawn by the AI — unless you choose the option to let the AI letter your name, in which case check the spelling carefully.
Free AI renders are limited per visitor per day, and purchases include a set number of additional renders. We may change these limits, and we may block use that looks automated or abusive.
4. Your finished card
Once you've paid, you may use your finished card files for any lawful purpose — printing them anywhere, posting them, handing out cards. To the extent we have any rights in the AI-generated artwork on your card, we assign them to you. Note that AI-generated material may not be eligible for copyright protection, and rights in Your Content and in sponsor logos stay with their owners.
5. Purchases, prices and taxes
Prices are in US dollars and shown before checkout. Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it, and shipping is charged as shown for the delivery option you choose. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Charges appear on your statement under Threadz Brands / HEROCARDS.
Prices or totals displayed in error are not an offer we're bound to honor. If we find an error before delivering your order, we'll either refund you or contact you with the correct amount so you can decide whether to continue. We will never charge you more than you authorized without your approval.
6. Print files
Print files are delivered right away in your browser and by email: the front and back of your card at 300 DPI, with optional 1/8" bleed. Keep your own copy; we keep download links working for a reasonable time but don't guarantee permanent storage.
7. Printed cards — you approve your own design
Because you design the card yourself, there is no proof round: we print the files exactly as you submitted them. Before ordering, check spelling, numbers, sponsor logos and photo quality. Printed colors can vary slightly from your screen, and low-resolution photos print soft. Cards ship to US addresses only, using the delivery option you choose; delivery times are estimates.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI renders will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order the claim is about.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under consumer protection law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version shown at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what HeroCards.net (operated by Threadz Brands, LLC) collects and how it's used.
1. What stays on your device
The photos, logos and details you add to the designer are kept in your own browser (in its local storage) so your card is still there when you come back. They are not sent to us just because you use the designer.
2. What we collect
- When you request an AI render: a reduced-size copy of your car photo(s) and the style choices you made, sent to our server and our AI provider to create the artwork. We store the resulting artwork.
- When you buy: your email address; for printed cards, your name, shipping address and phone number; the card details you entered; and your finished print files.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the last details Stripe shares with merchants, never your full card number.
- Cookies: one cookie to count your free AI renders for the day, plus standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) that our hosting provider logs.
3. How we use it
To create your artwork, deliver your files, print and ship your cards, send receipts and order emails, provide support, prevent abuse, keep our books and meet legal obligations. We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't send you marketing email unless you ask us to.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help us run the Service, and only what each one needs: Stripe (payments and tax), OpenAI (AI artwork), Vercel (hosting and file storage), Resend (email), and our print partner and shipping carriers (for printed cards). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Artwork and print files are kept so you can download them again; ask us and we'll delete them.
6. Your choices
You can clear your saved design at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@racethreadz.com; depending on where you live, you may have additional rights.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Young racers should have a parent or guardian make purchases.
Refund Policy
1. Print files (downloads)
Print files are digital and delivered immediately, so all download sales are final once the files are delivered. If your files don't arrive, won't open, or don't match the card you designed because of a problem on our end, email us and we'll fix it or refund you. If you're charged twice for the same order, we'll refund the duplicate.
If you buy a download and later order printed cards of that design, the download price is credited toward the print order once.
2. Printed cards
Your cards are printed from the files you designed and approved yourself. If your cards arrive damaged, defective, or don't match your files (for example, a printing error or the wrong quantity), email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we'll reprint them or refund you.
We can't offer refunds or reprints for issues that are part of the file you submitted — spelling mistakes, the wrong photo or logo, low-resolution images, or design choices — or for minor color differences between screen and print.
3. Cancellations
You can cancel a printed-card order for a full refund until it's sent to the printer, which usually happens within one business day (sooner for Rush). Email us right away if you need to cancel or change something.
4. Lost packages
If your cards haven't arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, contact us and we'll trace the package and reprint or refund if it's lost.
5. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. How long they take to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
